Coaching Accreditation
Netball Australia has developed a 6 step coaching accreditation scheme that will make it easier for coaches to work through the various coaching levels. The basic accreditation course is the Foundation Course. The Netball Australia website provides a full explanation of the coach education scheme.
The Foundation and Development courses are designed for beginner and club coaches.

FOUNDATION ACCREDITATION
The Foundation Coach Online Course is targeted primarily at beginner coaches, teachers, parents and Suncorp NetSetGO coaches and outlines introductory coaching information and basic netball techniques.
The Course is the first step in the National Coaching Accreditation Framework and is an important step along the knowledge pathway for a coach.
The course contains the following four modules:
- The role of the coach
- Planning
- Teaching netball skills
- The coach in action

To Complete the Foundation Coach Accreditation, coaches must also complete and pass (70%) Rules of Netball Exam.

DEVELOPMENT ACCREDITATION
The Development Coach Accreditation is a blended (online course & face to face practical workshop) accreditation and is targeted at Club, Association and Regional coaches and teachers aiming to further their netball knowledge.
This accreditation is the second step in the National Coaching Accreditation Framework and provides a good introduction to skill progression and fault detection and correction.
Steps required to complete the Development Coach Accreditation:
Step 1 - Completion of the Online Development Coaching Course ($65.00)
Step 2 - Completion (minimum 70% pass) of the Rules of Netball Theory Exam ($13.00)
Step 3 - Enrol in a Development Coach Practical Workshop ($70.00).
